Ty is currently pursuing a Master's in Applied Psychology with a concentration in Industrial Psychology at University of Cincinnati while working as a Graduate Assistant.
He is a graduate of Wittenberg University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in neuroscience. During his time at Wittenberg, Ty had the chance to volunteer with developmentally challenged adults and work as a lab assistant in the Psychology department. Ty developed an interest in the function of the brain before Spencer’s accident. He became more interested in the brain and how it affects the rest of the body as he watched Spencer’s recovery.
Ty helped Spencer reacclimate to the world and participated in Spencer’s therapies during both inpatient and outpatient rehab. Ty’s background in Psychology helped him on the football field as a kicker. He is in the team record book for number of successful consecutive extra points and percentage of extra points made.
